Senator Andy Zay
State Sen. Andy Zay has been representing Indiana Senate District 17 since 2017, covering all of Grant, Huntington, and Wabash counties.
In the Senate, Zay holds the position of ranking member on the Senate Committee on Environmental Affairs. Additionally, he actively contributes to other Senate Committees, including Commerce and Technology; Pensions and Labor; and Utilities.
Zay is a proud graduate of Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. In May 2023, he achieved a Master’s from the same school. Professionally, he owns and operates Zay Leasing and Rentals, Inc. in Huntington, a business founded in 1953.
Outside of his professional commitments, Zay is engaged in community service. He serves on the Regional Board of Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana and is actively involved with the local YMCA, as well as school and church development committees. His personal interests include outdoor activities, spending quality time with his family, and attending his kids’ sporting events.
Residing in Huntington with his wife, Cindy, Zay is the proud parent of three sons and two daughters.
