Senator Cyndi Carrasco Contact information

Cyndi Carrasco is a Republican State Senator for District 36 in Indiana. She was elected in 2023 and serves portions of Johnson and Marion counties.

Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, to Mexican immigrant parents, Carrasco moved to Indiana to attend the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Carrasco has an extensive background in law and public service. She currently serves as the Vice President and General Counsel at the University of Indianapolis. Prior to this, she served as Deputy General Counsel and Ethics Officer for Governor Eric Holcomb and was the first female Inspector General for the State of Indiana.

In addition to her professional roles, Carrasco is actively involved in several organizations. She is a member of the St. Francis and Clare Parish, the Indiana State Bar Association, and was a trustee for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She also served on the Indiana Commission on Public Records and the Executive Council of the Indiana University Alumni Association.

Carrasco lives in Indianapolis with her husband, Robert, and their daughter, Sarah.
