Representative Garrett Bascom

Garrett Bascom is an American politician and lawyer serving as a member of the Indiana House of Representatives from the 68th district. He assumed office on November 19, 2024, succeeding Randy Lyness. Bascom is a member of the Republican Party.

Born and raised in Indiana, Bascom has always been deeply connected to his community. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Joseph University and went on to obtain his law degree from Indiana University. His educational background laid a strong foundation for his career in law and public service.

Before entering politics, Bascom served in the Indiana Attorney General’s office and as the deputy prosecutor in Dearborn County. In 2023, he started his own private law practice, where he gained valuable experience and insight into the legal challenges faced by his constituents.

In the 2024 general election, he won a decisive victory, securing 79.5% of the vote.
