Senator Liz Brown Contact information

State Sen. Liz Brown has been dedicated to serving Hoosiers since 2014 as a member of the Indiana Senate, representing Senate District 15, which includes portions of Allen County.

In the Senate, Brown holds the position of Assistant Majority Floor Leader for Communications and serves as the chair of the Senate Committee on Judiciary. Additionally, she is a member of several other Senate Committees, including Appropriations; Corrections and Criminal Law; Ethics; and Health and Provider Services. Brown is also actively engaged as a member of the Senate School Funding Subcommittee and serves as an advisory member to the Distressed Unit Appeals Board. In recognition of her notable work on cybersecurity and data privacy issues, Brown was named the Midwest Region Champion of Innovation in 2023.

Beyond her legislative responsibilities, Brown serves as the legislative representative on the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership’s Regional Opportunities Council. Since 2016, she has also been a member of the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Board.

Brown is a proud alumna of the University of Notre Dame, where she earned a Bachelor of Science, and the University of Iowa, where she earned a Juris Doctor.

Residing in Fort Wayne with her husband, Steve, Brown is the proud parent of seven children and has five grandchildren. Their household also includes two cats named Walker and Texas Ranger, as well as two dogs named Corby and Minnie.
