Jeff Cooling is a member of the Democratic Party and currently serves in the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 77. He assumed office on January 1, 2023, and his current term is set to end on January 1, 2025.

Cooling ran for election to the Iowa House of Representatives to represent District 77 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. His career experience includes working as an electrician.

In terms of his education, Cooling graduated from Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids and completed an apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 405. Professionally, he is a union electrician and serves as the president of IBEW Local 405.

Cooling has also been active in various memberships and activities. He is the area vice president of the Hawkeye Area Labor Council. He was born in 1987 in Cedar Rapids, was raised in Shueyville, and currently resides in Cedar Rapids. He is married to Amanda and they have two children.
