Mark Cisneros is an American politician and businessman currently serving as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from the 96th district. He was elected in November 2020 and assumed office on January 11, 2021.

Mark Cisneros is an American politician and businessman currently serving as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from the 96th district. He was elected in November 2020 and assumed office on January 11, 2021.

Born in 1970 in Los Angeles, California, Cisneros was raised in Pico Rivera, California. The son of immigrants from Mexico, he was raised in Los Angeles County, California. He began his career with the Los Angeles Park Ranger Division.

In 2008, Cisneros and his wife relocated from Los Angeles to Muscatine, Iowa. Since then, he has owned and operated two retail stores, Shop 2 Drop and Bella Boutique, with his wife and worked in the trucking industry. He has served as the co-chair of the Muscatine County Republican Party, the Iowa state director of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly, and the development director of the Muscatine Soccer Club.

Cisneros was elected to the Iowa House of Representatives in November 2020 and assumed office on January 11, 2021. He is the vice chair of the House Commerce Committee. When Cisneros assumed office, he became the first member of the Iowa House of Hispanic heritage.

He is currently serving his term which ends on January 1, 2025. His career experience includes owning Shop 2 Drop and Bella Boutique and working as a park ranger, a notary public, and a commercial truck driver. He has served as the co-chair of the Muscatine County Republican Party, the Iowa state director of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly, and the development director of the Muscatine Soccer Club.

Cisneros is married to Bridget and they have three daughters, three sons, and two grandchildren. They reside in Muscatine, Iowa.
