Molly Buck is a dedicated public servant, educator, and a strong advocate for her community. She is currently serving as a representative in the Iowa House for Ankeny’s House District 41.

Born and raised in the heartland, Molly is deeply rooted in her community. She has lived in the district for over fifteen years, making her well-acquainted with the needs and aspirations of her constituents.

Molly’s journey in education began at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education. Her passion for teaching led her to further her studies at Drake University, where she received her Masters degree in Teacher Effectiveness and Professional Development in 2016.

For the last eighteen years, Molly has been shaping young minds in the Ankeny Community School District. She currently teaches the fifth grade, instilling in her students a love for learning and a sense of civic responsibility.

In 2017, Molly stood on the front lines with her fellow teachers and ISEA union members against Republican bills underfunding education and gutting collective bargaining rights for teachers. Her fight for better schools and fair treatment for teachers is a testament to her commitment to quality education.

Molly’s personal life has been marked by resilience. She is a colon cancer survivor, a battle that has only strengthened her resolve to serve her community.

In the political arena, Molly ran for election to the Iowa House of Representatives to represent District 41. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022. Her tenure began on January 1, 2023, and her current term ends on January 1, 2025.

As a representative, Molly Buck is committed to fighting for schools, families, and her community. Her work in the Iowa House is driven by the belief that everyone deserves a fair shot at success.
