Senator Rocky De Witt Contact information

Rocky De Witt is an American politician and a member of the Republican Party. He is currently serving as a member of the Iowa State Senate, representing District 1. He assumed office on January 3, 2023.

Born and raised in Lawton, Iowa, Rocky De Witt has always been an active member of his community. He was previously married to Julie Katseres, with whom he raised three sons. He is currently married to Vicki and they continue to reside in Lawton.

Before entering politics, De Witt had a successful career in the energy sector. He worked for the MidAmerican Energy Company for 22 years as an industrial electrician. After leaving MidAmerican Energy, De Witt provided security for the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office.

De Witt’s political career began when he was first elected to the District 5 seat on the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors in November 2016. He was reelected in 2020 and served as board chairman in 2018 and 2021.

In December 2021, De Witt began his campaign for the District 1 seat of the Iowa State Senate. He won the general election on November 8, 2022, defeating incumbent Democratic legislator Jackie Smith, who was redistricted to District 1.

Throughout his political career, De Witt has been a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment. He is a lifetime NRA member and a federally licensed gun dealer.

As a senator, De Witt is committed to serving his constituents and working towards the betterment of his state. His current term ends on January 2, 2027.
