Sean Bagniewski is a member of the Democratic Party and currently serves in the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 35. He assumed office on January 1, 2023, and his current term ends on January 1, 2025.

Bagniewski ran for election to the Iowa House of Representatives to represent District 35 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. In the general election for Iowa House of Representatives District 35, Bagniewski defeated Dennis McCullough, securing 76.9% of the votes.

Bagniewski earned a B.S. in political science from Truman State University in 2005 and a J.D. from Drake University in 2008. His career experience includes working as an attorney, a federal contract administrator with the Polk County Board of Supervisors, and a Medicaid provider services manager with Maximus.
