Representative Tom Jeneary
Thomas Michael Jeneary was born on March 31, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa. He is an American politician in the state of Iowa. He was elected to the Iowa House of Representatives in 2018 and his term was set to end on January 8, 2023.
Before his political career, Jeneary was a dentist and a funeral director. He also served as the Vice Chair of the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners. His career experience includes working as a funeral director and a dentist. He served as the president of Plymouth County Pheasants Forever.
Jeneary has also been affiliated with the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, the Northwest Iowa Dental Association, the LeMars Sportsman’s Club, the Scottish Rite, the York Rite, the Masonic Bodies, the Triangle Masonic Lodge 643 in Sioux City, the Iowa SIDS Foundation, and Walk for the Future.
In terms of his education, Jeneary graduated from West Liberty High School. He earned a B.A. from the University of Iowa.
In the Iowa House of Representatives, Jeneary represented the 5th district from January 14, 2019, to January 8, 2023. He was succeeded by Zach Dieken. Currently, he is the incumbent representative of the 3rd district, having assumed office on January 9, 2023. His current term ends on January 1, 2025.
