Representative Duane Droge
Duane Droge is a member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 13. He is a member of the Republican Party. He assumed office on January 9, 2023, and his current term ends on January 13, 2025. He was appointed to replace former Rep. Joe Newland.
Before his political career, Droge was a veterinarian since 1980. He grew up in a farm family in Bern, in Nemaha County, and attended Kansas State University where he earned his degree in veterinary medicine.
In the Kansas House of Representatives, Droge has been active in various committees. He is a part of the Social Services Budget committee, the Legislative Modernization committee, and the Welfare Reform committee.
Droge has also sponsored several bills and resolutions. Some of the notable ones include HB2126, which authorizes the over-the-counter purchase of ivermectin tablets and hydroxychloroquine tablets, and HCR5011, which proposes an amendment to the bill of rights of the constitution of the state of Kansas to provide no right to an abortion.
