Jeffrey Thomas Pittman, born on March 3, 1971, is an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party. He represents the 5th district in the Kansas Senate.

Before his tenure in the Senate, he served as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 41st district. His political career began when he ran for election to the Kansas State Senate to represent District 5 and won in the general election held on November 3, 2020.

Pittman was born and raised in Leavenworth, Kansas. He is a graduate of the prestigious University of Oxford. In addition to his political career, he is also a supply chain engineer by profession.

In his personal life, he is married to Holly and they have three children. They reside in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Pittman’s political career has been marked by significant achievements. He was elected to represent District 41 in the Kansas House of Representatives in 2016, defeating incumbent Tony Barton. He was re-elected in 2018, again defeating Tony Barton.

In the 2020 election, Pittman defeated incumbent Republican Kevin Braun to represent District 5 in the Kansas State Senate. His current term in the Senate began on January 11, 2021, and is set to end on January 13, 2025.

Throughout his political career, Pittman has been assigned to several committees. In the 2023-2024 term, he served on the Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee, Utilities Committee, Ways and Means Committee, Fiduciary Financial Institutions Oversight Information Technology Committee, and the Kansas Security Committee.

Pittman’s commitment to public service extends beyond his political career. He has volunteered with the American Red Cross at Munson Army Hospital, a local veterinary clinic, and the Sacred Heart Parish.
