Fagg ran for election to the Kansas State Senate to represent District 14 and won in the general election on November 3, 2020. His career experience includes working in community banking.

In terms of committee assignments for the years 2023-2024, Fagg was assigned to the following committees: Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee (as Vice Chair), Utilities Committee, Ways and Means Committee, Fiduciary Financial Institutions Oversight, Pensions, Investments and Benefits Committee, and Robert G.
