Nathan Butler, also known as Nate Butler, is a member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 68. He is a member of the Republican Party and assumed office on January 9, 2023. His current term ends on January 13, 2025.

Before his political career, Nate Butler served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and reached the rank of major. He has a distinguished educational background with a bachelor’s degree in business from Wichita State University, a master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University, and a master’s degree in theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

In addition to his military and political careers, Nate Butler has also worked as a realtor with RE/MAX Signature Properties, a pastor, and a consultant for pastors. He currently resides in Junction City, Kansas, with his spouse, Terry Butler.

During his tenure in the Kansas House of Representatives, Representative Butler has been assigned to several committees including Veterans and Military, Corrections and Juvenile Justice, and Taxation. He has sponsored several bills including HB2036, which creates a property tax exemption for retired and disabled veterans, and HB2313, which creates the born-alive infants protection act to provide legal protections for infants who are born alive regardless of the intent of the delivery.
