Representative Troy Waymaster
Troy L. Waymaster is an American politician from the state of Kansas. A member of the Republican Party, Waymaster has been serving as a representative of the Kansas House of Representatives from the 109th district since January 14, 2013.
Born and raised in Kansas, Waymaster graduated from Russell High School in Russell, Kansas, in 1996. He then pursued higher education at the University of Kansas, graduating in 2000. He also attended business school at Fort Hays State University, but did not complete his studies.
Waymaster’s political career began when he was elected to the Kansas House in the 2012 elections. He has been serving the 109th district since then. In addition to his role as a representative, Waymaster has held several committee assignments throughout his tenure. He has served as the Chair of the Appropriations Committee and the House Legislative Budget Committee.
In the 2020 elections, Waymaster ran for the United States House of Representatives in Kansas’s 1st congressional district. However, on May 23, 2020, he ended his Congressional campaign and announced that he would seek reelection to the Kansas House of Representatives.
On a personal note, Waymaster and his wife, Crystal, have a son named Christian and they live near Bunker Hill, Kansas.
