Bobby Wayne McCool is an American politician serving as a member in the Kentucky House of Representatives since January 1, 2019. His district consists of Johnson, Martin, and Pike counties.

Born on May 7, 1959, McCool earned a Master of Arts degree from Morehead State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Kentucky University. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and has also served as a coal miner, teacher, and administrator.

In 2018, he ran for the office of representative from the 97th district against Democrat Craig Lindon. McCool won the election with 57.8% of the vote to Lindon’s 42.2%. In 2020, he ran for re-election against Democratic candidate Will Hurst, winning the election with 78.5% to Hurst’s 21.5%. In 2022, he ran for re-election unopposed.

McCool is vice-president and chief institutional officer at Big Sandy Community and Technical College. He and his wife, Debbie, have two children. Over the years, McCool has been assigned to various committees including the House Appropriations and Revenue Committee, House Education Committee, House Natural Resources and Energy Committee, and the House Transportation Committee.
