George A. Brown Jr. was born on November 14, 1948, in Lexington, Kentucky. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Tennessee State University.

Before his political career, Brown worked as a Supplier Diversity Business Enterprise Coordinator with the University of Kentucky Facilities Management. This role allowed him to gain valuable experience in business coordination and management.

In November 2014, Brown was elected as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from the 77th district. He assumed office on January 1, 2015. His tenure has been marked by his dedication to serving the people of his district and his commitment to the Democratic Party’s values and principles.

During his time in office, Brown has been assigned to several committees. These include the House Appropriations and Revenue Committee, House Education Committee, House Local Government Committee, Economic Development & Workforce Investment Committee, Small Business & Information Technology Committee, and Health and Family Services Committee.
