Representative Kim Holloway

Kimberly Holloway is a dedicated public servant and a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 2. Born on November 4, 1978, in Paducah, Kentucky, she has deep roots in her community. Holloway earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Murray State University in 2000. She continued her education at Murray State University, obtaining a Master’s degree in School Guidance and Counseling in 2011. In 2014, she furthered her academic achievements by earning a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University.

Before entering politics, Holloway was the owner of Holloway Farm and an active member of the Christian Church of Christ. Her commitment to her community and her faith have been central to her life’s work. She has always been passionate about education, mental health, and community development, which led her to pursue a career in public service.

Holloway’s political journey began with her successful campaign for the Kentucky House of Representatives. She assumed office on January 1, 2025, after winning the general election on November 5, 2024. Her victory marked a significant milestone in her career, as she defeated the incumbent, Richard Heath, in the Republican primary and went on to secure her seat in the general election.

As a state representative, Holloway has been an advocate for various issues, including education reform, mental health services, and community development. She has sponsored several bills aimed at improving the quality of life for her constituents. Some of her notable legislative efforts include the Mary Carol Akers Birth Centers Act, which aims to establish licensure standards for freestanding birthing centers, and a bill to increase the retirement distribution exclusion for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2026.
