Kim King, born on November 29, 1962, is an American politician and a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives. She has been representing District 55 since January 2011.

King was born and raised in the United States and has always been passionate about serving her community. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fitness and Wellness Management from Eastern Kentucky University.

In her professional life, King is a farmer and a fitness trainer. She also owns two small businesses: Motive Force and 4 Kings Angus. Her dedication to fitness and wellness is evident in her work and her lifestyle.

King’s political journey began when she decided to run for the Kentucky House of Representatives. She was unopposed for the May 18, 2010, Republican Primary and won the November 2, 2010, General election with 9,167 votes (53.4%) against Representative Sims.

In the 2012 elections, King and former Democratic Representative Stevens were both unopposed for their May 22, 2012 primaries, setting up a rematch. King won the November 6, 2012, General election with 12,931 votes (61.1%) against Representative Stevens.

Throughout her tenure, King has been assigned to various committees including the House Agriculture Committee, Economic Development & Workforce Investment Committee, Small Business & Information Technology Committee, and Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Committee. She has also served as the Chair of the Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Committee.

King’s current term ends on January 1, 2025. She is running for re-election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 55. She is on the ballot in the Republican primary.
