Representative William Lawrence

William Lee Lawrence was born on January 19, 1989. He is an American politician and businessman serving as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from the 70th district. He was elected in November 2020 and assumed office on January 1, 2021.

Lawrence attended a Christian high school and graduated from an industrial maintenance trade school. Since 2015, Lawrence has operated Lawrence Development and Rental Properties. His career experience includes co-owning a real estate company. Lawrence has also volunteered with Lions Club International and Kiwanis International.

In his role as a legislator, Lawrence has been assigned to several committees. These include the Economic Development & Workforce Investment Committee, Small Business & Information Technology Committee, and the Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Committee. He has served as the Vice Chair for the Small Business & Information Technology Committee.

Lawrence’s current term ends on January 1, 2025. He is running for re-election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 70. The Republican primary for this office on May 21, 2024, was canceled. He is now running in the general election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 70 on November 5, 2024.
