John Cameron Henry Jr., known as Cameron Henry, is an American politician serving as a member of the Louisiana State Senate from the 9th district. He assumed office on January 13, 2020. Prior to this, he represented the 82nd district of the Louisiana House of Representatives from 2008 to 2020.

Cameron Henry was born as John Cameron Henry Jr. He is a member of the Republican party. He is married to Jamie and they have four children.

Education: Cameron Henry graduated from Jesuit High School in New Orleans. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Louisiana State University and a Master of Business Administration in finance from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.

Career: As a graduate student, Henry served as a legislative aide for Congressman Steve Scalise. He was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2007 and served until 2020, after which he was elected to the Louisiana State Senate. During his time in both chambers of the legislature, Cameron has proven to be a common-sense conservative voice and a prudent public servant.

In addition to his political career, Henry authored a bill to legalize sports betting in Louisiana. His district covers Jefferson Parish and includes Old Metairie, Old Jefferson and Airline park. He currently serves on several Committees including the Finance Committee, Consumer Protection Committee, Commerce Committee, Judiciary B Committee, Local and Municipal Affairs, Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee, and Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget.

Achievements: In 2014, he was selected by the Washington Post as the Top 40 under 40 in the country. In December of 2016, he was selected by the Times Picayune as the third most influential elected official in Louisiana.
