Jeffrey Wiley is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 81 in the Louisiana House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 8, 2024, and his current term ends on January 10, 2028.

Wiley won the election to the Louisiana House of Representatives to represent District 81 outright in the primary on October 14, 2023, after the general election was canceled. His professional experience includes working in law enforcement. In addition to his civilian career, Wiley served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. His commitment to public service extends beyond his role in the House of Representatives. Before his election to the House, Wiley served as the Sheriff of Ascension Parish from 1996 to 2019.

In the House of Representatives, Wiley serves on several committees. These include the Administration of Criminal Justice, Judiciary, Transportation, Highways and Public Works, and the House Select Committee on Homeland Security. He is also a member of the Acadiana Delegation and the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation.

In the 2023 elections, Wiley won outright against Jason Amato in the primary for Louisiana House of Representatives District 81. He secured 55.5% of the votes, amounting to 6,569 votes in total.
