Kendricks "Ken" Brass is an American politician and engineer, currently serving as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives from the 58th district. He assumed office on November 3, 2017.

Kendricks “Ken” Brass is an American politician and engineer, currently serving as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives from the 58th district. He assumed office on November 3, 2017.

Born Kendricks Brass, he is a member of the Democratic Party and has one child. After graduating from Lutcher High School in Lutcher, Louisiana, Brass earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Southern University in 1999.

Outside of politics, Brass works as an engineer for BASF. He also served as a member of the St. James Parish Council and Lutcher Board of Aldermen. He was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in November 2017.

Brass also serves as vice chair of the House Transportation, Highways and Public Works Committee. He is a member of the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus. In March 2022, Brass was named the 2021 Legislator of The Year by the Louisiana School Boards Association.

Brass represents the parishes of Ascension, St. James, and St. John the Baptist. His legislative assistant is D Ara Pillette. His office is located at 22140 Highway 20 Suite C Vacherie, LA 70090.

In addition to his political career, Brass is an Electrical Engineer at BASF. He is an alumnus of Lutcher High School and Southern University and A & M College, where he earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1999.

He serves on the Ways and Means Committee as Vice Chair, and is also a member of the Education Retirement Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay. He is part of the Acadiana Delegation, Democratic Caucus, and Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus.
