Collings was successful in his re-election bid for the same district in the general election held on November 8, 2022.

Born and raised in Portland, Maine, Collings holds a bachelor’s degree in social science from the University of Maine at Farmington. His professional background includes extensive experience as a political and business consultant. Prior to his current role, Collings has been actively involved in politics for about 30 years. He has served as a legislative aide in the House Democratic Office during the 120th Legislature and has lobbied in Augusta and Washington D.C. on behalf of various groups including Native American tribes and labor unions.

In the 2016 presidential campaign, Collings played a significant role in Bernie Sanders’ campaign efforts in Maine and conducted national Native American outreach for the campaign.
