Representative Charles Skold

Charles Skold is a member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 119, which includes part of Portland. He is serving his first term and is a member of the Labor and Housing Committee. In his professional life, Charles trains business leaders in the practice of negotiation and has worked with educational organizations to equip municipal leaders with skills for cross-sector collaboration. He has also been involved in religious ministry as a college advisor.

An active community member, Charles volunteers with the Portland Climate Action Team, the St. Luke’s Public Policy and Environmental Action Team, and Greater Portland Family Promise. He grew up in Freeport, Maine, where he graduated from high school in 2007. Charles holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Tufts University, which he obtained in 2011, and a master’s degree in theology and public administration from Harvard University, awarded in 2019.

His commitment to public service is evident through his legislative work and his involvement in various community initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for his constituents and fostering sustainable development.
