Representative Daniel Newman

Representative Daniel Newman, a devoted public servant from Belgrade, is currently in his second term representing House District 58. This district comprises the towns of Belgrade, Fayette, Mount Vernon, New Sharon, Rome, and Vienna. Continuing his dedication to legislative responsibilities, he serves on the 131st Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety, a role he fulfilled in his previous term as well.

Rep. Newman’s commitment to Belgrade spans over three years of service on the town budget committee and an impressive twelve years on the Select Board. Beyond his legislative and municipal roles, he has been an integral part of community safety as a Lieutenant on the Belgrade Fire Department.
