Representative Sean Faircloth

Sean Faircloth is a member of the Democratic Party and currently serves in the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 24. He assumed office on February 26, 2025, and his current term will conclude on December 1, 2026.

Sean Faircloth was born on May 23, 1960, in Bangor, Maine. He attended the University of Notre Dame, where he earned his bachelor’s degree, and later pursued a Juris Doctor degree at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. His professional career has been rooted in law and public service, working as an attorney and serving in various leadership roles across civic and political organizations. Faircloth’s legal background has provided him with a strong foundation for his legislative work, particularly in areas related to justice, civil rights, and governance.

Faircloth’s political career spans several decades. He first served in the Maine House of Representatives from 1992 to 2008, representing different districts during his tenure. He also served in the Maine Senate from 1994 to 1996, representing the 9th District.
