William Pluecker is a member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 44. He is affiliated with the Independent for Maine Party. He assumed office on December 7, 2022, and his current term ends on December 4, 2024. Prior to this, he held office in the Maine House of Representatives District 95.

Pluecker lives in Warren, Maine. He earned a B.A. in 1999 and has a career experience as a farmer. He is also the co-owner of Hatchet Cove Farm, which he founded in 2004. In addition to farming, he teaches courses on marketing and small business development in the agricultural sector.

In the Maine House of Representatives, Pluecker serves as the House Chair on the Agriculture, Conservation, & Forestry Committee. He has been selling vegetables commercially for almost 20 years and has been substitute teaching in his local schools off and on for several years now. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Pitzer College. He recently served on the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of the First Universalist Church in Rockland. He has also been on the Public Policy Committee for the Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association.

In his personal life, Pluecker is a family man with a son at Medomak Valley High School and a daughter at Medomak Middle School. He enjoys wild harvesting food to prepare for the family and being a good dad. In his spare time, Bill works with food shelters in Knox County to provide fresh produce. commitment to public service continues to drive his work in the Maine House of Representatives.
