Representative Jennifer White
Jennifer White Holland is a member of the Maryland House of Delegates for District 10 in Baltimore County, Maryland. She is a Democrat and has been serving since January 11, 2023. She is a member of the Health and Government Operations Committee, the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland, the Maryland Legislative Latino Caucus, and the Women Legislators of Maryland. She also serves as the chair of the events committee for the Women Legislators of Maryland.
Jennifer was born on April 21, 1988, in Detroit, Michigan. She attended Novi High School in Novi, Michigan. After high school, she went on to attend Michigan State University where she graduated with honors in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Theory, Constitutional Democracy, and Social Relations and Policy. She later attended the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Public Health in 2012.
Before her political career, Jennifer worked in various roles in the health sector. She was a Needs Assessment Coordinator and Wendy Klag Memorial Scholar at the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities in 2011. She also served as a Research Intern at the Bureau of Maternal and Child Health at the Michigan Department of Community Health from 2011 to 2012. From 2012 to 2014, she worked as a Program Specialist for Health Programs and Partnerships at the NAACP. She then worked as a Manager at the American Heart Association in Washington, DC, in 2014 and later as a Health Equity Partnerships manager at Voices for Healthy Kids from 2014 to 2018. She was the Community Advocacy Director at the American Heart Association in Baltimore from 2018 to 2019. Since 2019, she has been working as the Policy and Community Engagement Director at the Horizon Foundation.
Jennifer has received several awards and recognitions for her work. She was named one of the “20 in Their Twenties” by the Daily Record in 2014. She also received the Leading Women Award from the Daily Record in 2017, the Annual Service Award from the Douglas Memorial Community Church in 2021, and the Rise to the Challenge Award as a Public Health Hero in Howard County in 2022.
Jennifer is a member of the Baltimore County West Democratic Club and the Tenth District Democratic Club. She is also a member of the Douglas Memorial Community Church in Baltimore, Maryland. She is married.
