Representative Jesse Pippy
Jesse Tyler Pippy was born on August 6, 1982. He grew up in a military family, living in various parts of the world including Europe and Asia. His family’s roots in Frederick County, Maryland go back to the 1700s.
Pippy attended Christopher Newport University, where he earned a B.A. degree in political science. He then went on to earn a J.D. degree at the University of Maryland School of Law. His involvement with politics began in 2014 when he ran for the Maryland Senate in District 12, although he was unsuccessful in this endeavor.
Despite this setback, Pippy continued his political journey and became the chair of the Frederick County Young Republicans organization. In 2016, he was appointed by Governor Larry Hogan to serve as Commissioner on the Frederick County Board of License Commissioners. He was later elected Chairman of this board.
In 2018, Pippy was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 4, which encompasses parts of Frederick and Carroll Counties. He has been serving in this position since January 9, 2019. During his tenure, he has been a part of various committees including the Economic Matters Committee and the Judiciary Committee.
In addition to his political career, Pippy is also a family man. He married his wife, Lindsey May Carpenter, in Frederick, Maryland in 2014. They have two sons and live in the Yellow Springs area of Frederick County.
