About Representative Alice Peisch
Alice Hanlon Peisch, born on October 4, 1954, is an American attorney and politician. She has been representing the 14th Norfolk District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives since 2003. She is a member of the Democratic Party.
Peisch has a distinguished educational background. She graduated from Smith College with an A.B. in 1976, earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1979, and later completed her MPA at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, in 2009.
Before her tenure in the House of Representatives, Peisch served as the Wellesley, Massachusetts Town Clerk from 2000 to 2003. She was also a member of Wellesley’s School Committee from 1992 to 1999, and a member of the Wellesley Advisory (Finance) Committee from 1989 to 1992.
In the Massachusetts House of Representatives, she served as the Chair of the Joint Committee on Education from 2011 to 2023. Currently, she is serving on the House Committee on Ethics and the House Committee on Rules.
