About Representative Kip Diggs
Kip Andre Diggs, born on July 16, 1966, is an American politician and retired professional boxer. He is a member of the Democratic Party and currently represents the 2nd Barnstable District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 6, 2021.
Before his political career, Diggs had a successful career as a professional boxer. He holds a record of 30 wins and 5 losses, with three of those wins by knock out. He held titles in the North American Boxing Federation and the International Boxing Organization in the welterweight category.
In addition to his boxing and political careers, Diggs has also worked as a construction inspector. He currently resides in Osterville, Massachusetts. His tenure in the Massachusetts House of Representatives is set to continue until January 1, 2025, following his re-election on November 8, 2022. During his time in office, Diggs has been assigned to several committees, including Economic Development and Emerging Technologies, Health Care Financing, Housing, Labor and Workforce Development, and Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development.
