Representative Lisa Field

Lisa Field is a member of the Democratic Party and currently serves in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 3rd Bristol District. She assumed office on July 16, 2025, and her current term will conclude on January 6, 2027.

Field entered the Massachusetts House through a special election held on June 10, 2025, where she won by a narrow margin of 15 votes. She succeeded Carol Doherty in representing the district, which includes parts of Taunton, Massachusetts. A lifelong resident of Taunton, Field has built her career as a labor organizer and advocate for workers’ rights, serving as an associate director for the Massachusetts Nurses Association prior to her election. Her professional background in labor relations and healthcare advocacy has strongly influenced her legislative priorities, particularly in areas concerning workplace protections, healthcare access, and community well-being.

As a freshman legislator, Field quickly became active in sponsoring and co-sponsoring bills that reflect her commitment to public service and labor rights. She has worked on legislation addressing civil service exemptions for municipal positions in Taunton, as well as petitions to establish sick leave banks for employees in correctional and sheriff’s departments.
