Representative Steven Ouellette

Steven Ouellette is a dedicated public servant and a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 8th Bristol District. He assumed office on January 1, 2025, after winning the general election on November 5, 2024. Ouellette is a member of the Democratic Party and has been actively involved in his community for over 40 years.

A native of Westport, Massachusetts, Ouellette has served his community in various capacities, including as a Call Fire Fighter, Reserve Police Officer, and an eight-term Westport Selectman. His extensive experience in municipal maintenance as a licensed plumber and pipefitter has equipped him with a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by his constituents.

Throughout his career, Ouellette has been a strong advocate for public safety and service. He has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Economic Development Task Force, Route 6 Task Force, Infrastructure Committee, Bike and Pedestrian Committee, and the Conservation Committee. His commitment to improving the quality of life for his community is evident in his work on these committees and his dedication to public service.

Ouellette’s passion for public safety and service extends beyond his professional life. He enjoys outdoor activities, including riding his Harley, and is a proud family man with a spouse, Kim, one child, and one grandchild. He also has two cats, Belle and Harley, who are cherished members of his family.

In addition to his work in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, Ouellette has been actively involved in various legislative initiatives. He has sponsored and supported bills aimed at improving infrastructure, public safety, and economic development in his district. His dedication to his constituents and his commitment to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

Ouellette’s educational background includes graduating from Westport High School in 1981 and attending the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 77, where he completed his training in 1986. His extensive experience in both public service and municipal maintenance has provided him with a unique perspective on the issues facing his community.

As a representative, Ouellette continues to work tirelessly to address the needs of his constituents and improve the quality of life in his district.
