Representative Dale Zorn
District Rep. Dale Zorn represents the 34th House District, which covers most of Lenawee County. It includes the cities of Adrian, Morenci, and Tecumseh; the villages of Addison, Blissfield, Cement City, Clayton, Clinton, and Onsted; a portion of Blissfield Township and the entirety of the townships of Clinton, Tecumseh, Raisin, Palmyra, Riga, Ogden, Franklin, Adrian, Madison, Fairfield, Cambridge, Rome, Dover, Seneca, Woodstock, Rollin, Hudson, and Medina.
Committees Dale serves as the Republican vice chair on the House Local Government and Municipal Finance committee. He also serves as a member on the Higher Education Committee and the Economic Development and Small Business Subcommittee on Housing.
Education Dale studied business and automotive technology at Monroe County Community College.
Public Service Dale returned to the House in 2023 after serving Lenawee and Monroe counties in state Senate from 2015 to 2022. He previously served in the House from 2011 to 2014. He was appointed the 102nd Republican Caucus Dean of the 102nd Michigan Legislature. Prior to his service in the Legislature, Dale spent 20 years on the Monroe County Board of Commissioners and six years as a Raisinville Township trustee and four years as constable. Dale co-founded the Christmas in Ida Festival and Parade of Lights and currently is the executive director.
Professional Dale and his brother Dean operate Zorn’s Service Inc., an automotive and truck service center in Ida that was founded by their father in 1953.
Personal Dale grew up in Ida, Monroe County graduating from Ida High School, but spent much time in Lenawee County where in 1963 his father built a home in the Irish Hills at Sand Lake. Lenawee county has always been close to his heart as it is where he and his Wife Cindy had their first date at the Lenawee County Fair. In early 2022 the couple moved into the home full time. They have four children and eleven grandchildren. He and his wife are members of the Ida United Methodist Church.
