Karin Housley, born on January 20, 1964, is an American politician and businesswoman. She is a member of the Minnesota Senate, representing the Republican party. She represents District 33. Her constituency includes Forest Lake, Stillwater, and the surrounding St. Croix Valley.

In 2012, Karin was first elected to serve her constituency in the Minnesota Senate. She was re-elected in 2016, 2020, and 2022. As a senator, Karin has become known as a passionate advocate for senior citizens, veterans, and families. She takes pride in the relationships she has built with the communities she represents.

Before entering public service, Karin was a small business owner. She felt that her perspective as a mom and business owner was needed at the State Capitol, which led her to run for office.
