Mark W. Koran is an American politician and member of the Minnesota Senate. He is a member of the Republican Party of Minnesota and represents District 32 in eastern Minnesota.

Born on April 1, 1964, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Koran was raised in Saint Paul’s Frogtown neighborhood. He graduated from Como High School in 1982. Before his political career, Koran was a manager for the Minnesota Department of Revenue. He is also a sales manager and a member of the Lent Township Planning Commission.

Koran was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2016 and has been reelected in 2020 and 2022. His legislative service has been marked by his commitment to his constituents and his party’s principles.

In his personal life, Koran and his wife, Cindy, have three children. They reside in North Branch, Minnesota. Koran was born and raised in St Paul (Frogtown), raised his family in the Midway area of St Paul before moving to North Branch in 2007. He has been married for 38 years and is a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, with one more on the way.
