Representative Nathan Coulter Contact information

Nathan Coulter is an American politician serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2023. He is a member of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor-Party (DFL) and represents District 51B in the southwestern Twin Cities metropolitan area, which includes the city of Bloomington and parts of Hennepin County.

Coulter was born on March 9, 1986, and he lives in Bloomington, Minnesota. He earned a B.A. in political science and music from St. Olaf College in 2008 and an M.P.A. from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs in 2019. His career experience includes working as a legislative assistant and then researcher at the Minnesota State Senate and as the housing and redevelopment authority commissioner for the City of Bloomington. Coulter also served on the Bloomington City Council.

In the 2022 general election, Coulter ran for election to the Minnesota House of Representatives to represent District 51B. He won the election and assumed office on January 3, 2023. His current term ends on January 7, 2025.

As a legislator, Coulter has been assigned to several committees including Children and Families Finance and Policy, Elections Finance and Policy, Higher Education Finance and Policy, Property Tax Division, and Veterans and Military Affairs Finance and Policy.
