Senator Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson is a member of the Republican Party and currently serves in the Mississippi State Senate, representing District 44. He assumed office on January 6, 2026, and his current term will conclude on January 4, 2028.

Johnson’s political career spans multiple terms in the Mississippi Legislature. Before representing District 44, he served in the Mississippi State Senate for District 45 from 2020 to 2026, succeeding Billy Hudson and later being succeeded by Johnny DuPree. Prior to his Senate service, Johnson was a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives for District 87 from 2016 to 2020, where he succeeded Johnny Stringer and was later succeeded by William Andrews III.
