Dana Underwood McLean is an American attorney, real estate agent, and politician. She is currently serving as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from the 39th district.

Born in Russellville, Alabama, McLean was raised in Lowndes County, Mississippi and attended Stephen D. Lee High School in Columbus, Mississippi. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and international studies from the University of Alabama, followed by a Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in international law and business from the Stetson University College of Law.

Before her political career, McLean practiced law in Tampa, Florida. She later returned to Columbus to work as a realtor for Century 21.

McLean was elected to the Mississippi House of Representatives in November 2019 and assumed office on January 7, 2020. She succeeded Jeff Smith to become the incumbent representative of the 39th district.

In addition to her political career, McLean is affiliated with the Florida Bar Association, National Association of Realtors, Greater Golden Triangle Realtor Association, Columbus-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce, and Exchange Club Columbus Arts Council.

She has also been involved in legislative work, such as the Mississippi Women’s Bill of Rights, which passed in the House of Representatives. This bill seeks to provide clarity, certainty, and uniformity as to how Mississippi women are treated under Mississippi law.

McLean was born on July 9, and she is of the Christian faith.
