Josh Harkins is an American politician serving as a Republican member of the Mississippi State Senate. He was born on April 5, 1974, in Jackson, Mississippi. He graduated from Mississippi State University.

Harkins has served as a Republican member of the Mississippi State Senate since 2012, where he represents District 20, including parts of Rankin County, Mississippi. He is married to Andrea Scales and they have two children. They reside in Flowood, Mississippi.

In addition to his political career, Harkins is a real estate broker. His professional experience includes working as a commercial builder and developer, licensed real estate broker, and Vice President of Harkins Realty, Inc. He also owns and operates JMH Construction Company and co-founded JR Constructors, specializing in storm and disaster-related construction services.

As of 2019, Harkins was affiliated with the Merit River Oaks Hospital Board of Directors. He has been assigned to various committees throughout his tenure, including the Congressional Redistricting Committee, Senate Energy Committee, Finance Committee, Senate Insurance Committee, Senate Legislative Budget Committee, Reapportionment Committee, Senate Medicaid Committee, Public Health and Welfare Committee, Senate Public Property Committee, Senate Universities and Colleges Committee, and more.
