Josh Hawkins is a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 10. He is affiliated with the Republican Party and assumed office on January 2, 2024. His current term ends on January 4, 2028.
Josh Hawkins was born and raised in District 10, Mississippi. He is a proud graduate of South Panola High School and later went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi. He is married to Jessica Mills-Hawkins.
Before his political career, Josh Hawkins was a successful business owner. He co-owns Boren & Hawkins Insurance, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.
In the 2023 elections, Josh Hawkins ran for election to the Mississippi House of Representatives to represent District 10. He won in the general election held on November 7, 2023. Prior to this, he had also contested in the 2019 general elections.
During his campaign, Josh Hawkins expressed his commitment to the people of District 10 and the State of Mississippi. He promised to put District 10 and its people first, while helping to move the State of Mississippi forward. He showed a keen interest in creating a business environment that would allow current businesses to thrive, as well as attract new businesses and startups.

He is also committed to making sure that the PERS system is strong enough to honor the commitments made to all current and retired state employees.
