Born on March 8, 1979, in Jackson, Mississippi, Kevin Ford is an American politician and businessman. He is a member of the Republican Party and has been serving as a representative of the Mississippi House of Representatives from the 54th district since January 2017.
Early Life and Education
Ford was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. He completed his high school education at Warren Central High School in Vicksburg. After high school, he attended Hinds Community College and later the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Career
Before entering politics, Ford had been operating the Ford Insurance Agency since 2011. His political career began when he was elected to the Mississippi House of Representatives in November 2016. He assumed office in January 2017 and has been serving the people of the 54th district since then.
In addition to his role as a representative, Ford has also been serving as the vice chair of the House Insurance Committee since 2019. His work in the committee involves overseeing insurance-related matters and policies in the state.
Personal Life
Ford is married to Julie Alberts and they are of the Methodist faith. He is also affiliated with the Red Carpet Bowl, a community organization.
Political Achievements
Throughout his tenure, Ford has been a part of several committees.
