Randy Boyd, born on March 23, 1954, is a Republican politician who has been serving as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives for the 19th District in Mantachie, northeastern Mississippi, since 2012.

Randy Boyd, born on March 23, 1954, is a Republican politician who has been serving as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives for the 19th District in Mantachie, northeastern Mississippi, since 2012.

Boyd’s journey began in Tremont, a rural area in Itawamba County, Mississippi, where he graduated from Tremont High School. He then attended Itawamba Community College in Fulton and later graduated from Mississippi State University at Starkville.

For more than three decades, Boyd has been engaged in the forestry industry and is a partner in LandTree LLC. He resides in Mantachie in Itawamba County. In 2018, Boyd was among several representatives who were in opposition to introducing a state lottery in Mississippi. He is also a member of the state’s task force on education.

Over the years, Boyd has served on several committees. In the 2023-2024 tenure, he was assigned to the Accountability, Efficiency, Transparency Committee as Chair, Apportionment and Elections Committee, House Appropriations Committee, House Education Committee, House Medicaid Committee, House Rules Committee, and House Universities and Colleges Committee.

Boyd ran for re-election to the Mississippi House of Representatives to represent District 19 and won in the general election on November 7, 2023. His current term ends on January 4, 2028.

On a personal note, Boyd is a member of the Mantachie Lion’s Club, M.A.P.S., S.A.F., M.F.A., and Deacon’s Board. He was born in Russellville, Alabama, and is married to the former Sherry Holland. They are of the Baptist faith.
