Robin J. Robinson
Born on September 12, 1956, in Laurel, Mississippi, Robin J. Robinson is an American politician and accountant serving as a member of the Mississippi State Senate from the 42nd district. She assumed office on January 2, 2024.
Education
Robinson attended Northeast Jones High School. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Jones County Junior College and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Career
Robinson worked in various roles at Sanderson Farms for 40 years. During her tenure, she worked as cost accountant, chief accountant, chief internal auditor, manager of human resources, manager of organization development, and member of the executive board.
Political Career
She was elected to a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives in an August 2020 special election. She served in the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing the 88th district from 2020 to 2024.
She ran for election to the Mississippi State Senate to represent District 42 and won in the general election on November 7, 2023. She assumed office on January 2, 2024. Her current term ends on January 4, 2028.

Robinson is Chairman of the Board for Jones County Junior College Foundation, Chairman of the Board of the Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi, Past President of the IHL Board of Trustees, Past Chairman of Mississippi Economic Council.
