Solomon Osborne, born on May 6, 1948, and affiliated with the Democratic Party, is an American politician serving as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 32. He began his tenure on March 18, 2019.

Solomon Curtis Osborne was born on May 6, 1948, in Minter City, Mississippi. After graduating from Amanda Elzy High School, he pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Tougaloo College. He furthered his education by obtaining a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law.

Osborne began his professional career in 1973, working as a staff attorney for North Mississippi Rural Legal Services. He served in this role until 1978, after which he became the executive director of Southwest Mississippi Legal Services, a position he held until 1984. From 1984 to 1990, he was a senior attorney for North Mississippi Rural Legal Services. In 1989 and 1990, he also worked as a staff attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights.

In addition to his legal work, Osborne served in various roles in the public sector. He worked for the Leflore County, Mississippi Public Defender’s Office and as an attorney for the Delta Correctional Facility Authority. From 1998 to 2001, he served as a county judge.

Osborne has also been an adjunct professor at Mississippi Valley State University and Tougaloo College, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of leaders.

In a special election held on March 18, 2019, Osborne was elected to the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing the 32nd district. He ran for re-election and won in the general election held on November 7, 2023. His current term ends on January 4, 2028.

Throughout his tenure, Osborne has been assigned to various committees, including the House County Affairs Committee, Judiciary B Committee, Judiciary En Banc Committee, House Municipalities Committee, Public Utilities Committee, and Youth and Family Affairs Committee.
