Steve Massengill is a member of the Republican Party and has been serving as a representative of the Mississippi House of Representatives for District 13 since 2012. His current term is set to end on January 4, 2028.

Born on November 21, 1966, Massengill is a graduate of Hickory Flat Attendance Center and also attended Northeast Mississippi Community College. Before his political career, he worked as a coach. He is a Christian and follows the Methodist faith.

Massengill has been actively involved in his community. He is a member of the Ebenezer Men’s Club, where he served as President, and the Pott’s Camp Booster Club. He is married to Dina Whiteside.

In the recent election held on November 7, 2023, Massengill ran for re-election to the Mississippi House of Representatives to represent District 13 and won.

Over the years, Massengill has been assigned to various committees. In the 2023-2024 legislative session, he served on the House Agriculture Committee, House Energy Committee, Management Committee, Public Utilities Committee, House Tourism Committee, Transportation Committee (as Vice Chair), and Ways and Means Committee.

In the 2021-2022 session, he served as Co-Chair of the Transportation Committee. In the 2020-2021 session, he was assigned to the Management Committee, Public Utilities Committee, House Tourism Committee, Ways and Means Committee, House Agriculture Committee, and House Energy Committee.

In the 2019-2020 session, he served on the House Agriculture Committee, House Appropriations Committee, House Energy Committee, Public Utilities Committee, Workforce Development Committee, Transportation Committee (as Vice-Chairman), and House Tourism Committee.

At the beginning of the 2015 legislative session, Massengill served on the Transportation Committee (as Vice Chair), Agriculture Committee, Education Committee, Public Property Committee, Universities and Colleges Committee, and Youth and Family Affairs Committee.

During the 2012-2013 legislative session, Massengill served on several committees as well. His dedication and commitment to his role are evident in his active participation in these committees.
