Representative Jeremy Dean

Representative Jeremy Dean is a dedicated public servant and a member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 132. A proud Democrat, he was elected to his first two-year term in November 2024 and officially assumed office on January 8, 2025. His district encompasses parts of Greene County, including his hometown of Springfield, Missouri.

Born and raised in Springfield, Jeremy Dean graduated from Willard High School in 2015. He later pursued higher education at the University of Central Missouri, where he became an active member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. His time in college helped shape his passion for community service and advocacy, which would later define his career.

Before entering politics, Dean served as the director of operations for the Drew Lewis Foundation in Springfield. In this role, he worked tirelessly to promote urban development and provide support to underprivileged communities. His commitment to social justice extended to his involvement with the GLO Center and the MO Passion House Project, where he served as a board member advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community and other marginalized groups.

Jeremy Dean’s journey into politics began with a desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of his constituents. In 2023, he ran for city council, showcasing his dedication to local governance and community improvement. His successful campaign for the Missouri House of Representatives in 2024 marked a significant milestone in his career, as he defeated his Republican opponent, Stephanos Freeman, by a narrow margin.

As a legislator, Dean is committed to addressing the needs of his district and championing progressive policies. His priorities include improving access to education, fostering economic growth, and ensuring equal rights for all Missourians.
