Senator Jacinda Morigeau

Jacinda Morigeau is a dedicated public servant and a proud member of the Bitterroot Salish community, as well as an enrolled citizen of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. Born in Missoula, Montana, and raised in Arlee on the Flathead Reservation, Jacinda’s roots run deep in the lands and traditions of her ancestors. Her upbringing instilled in her a profound sense of community, service, and the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

Jacinda pursued her education at the University of Montana, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. Her academic journey was complemented by her passion for advocacy and leadership, which she carried into her professional and political career. Before entering politics, Jacinda served as the Communications Manager at United Way of Missoula County and worked as an academic coordinator for TRIO Upward Bound, a program dedicated to supporting underprivileged students in achieving their educational goals.

Her commitment to community well-being extends beyond her professional roles. Jacinda has been actively involved in various organizations, serving as the Vice-Chairperson on the Board of Directors at All Nations Health Center and as a member of the advisory board for Montana Women Vote. These roles reflect her dedication to addressing critical issues such as healthcare access, education, and social equity.

In 2024, Jacinda was elected to represent Senate District 46 in the Montana Legislature. Her district encompasses a diverse and historic region, including parts of Missoula, Lake, and Sanders counties. As a legislator, Jacinda has been a vocal advocate for protecting access to healthcare, ensuring affordable housing, supporting public education, and collaborating with tribal nations to bolster conservation efforts. She is deeply committed to upholding the Montana Constitution and safeguarding the rights and freedoms of all Montanans.
