Representative Laura Smith
Laura Smith is a member of the Democratic Party and represents District 79 in the Montana House of Representatives. She assumed office on January 2, 2023, and her current term ends on January 6, 2025. Smith ran for election to the Montana House of Representatives to represent District 79 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in 2004 and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009. Her career experience includes working as an attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Montana and as the deputy director of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services.
